I'm 36 years old. Professionally, I've been a web designer since 1996. I currently work for a large corporation, and I really enjoy my job, luckily, since that's what I spend the majority of time doing. But I get to work from home a lot, so it's about as good as it gets. I also have a fat orange-and-white cat named Casey, and he spends most of his time sitting on or near my lap. I live in a one-bedroom apartment that's nothing fancy, but hope to make the step into home ownership in the next year or two. When I'm not working, I enjoy riding my mountain bike along one of the many trails near my apartment, hitting up the Bally's where I'm a member, taking pictures of various crap and posting them to my moblog, reading a lot of books, and expanding my DVD collection.
Weird trivia about me:
- I curse frequently. I like to think that the fact that I'm otherwise articulate makes up for this. Maybe it even works.
- I lived in a haunted dorm in college. It had a long-standing and well-known reputation for being haunted. Yes, strange and unexplainable occurrences took place in my presence. Oddly, they didn't stop once I left college, either, but followed me to my next five places of residence. Stories available upon request.
- I read tarot cards as a hobby. I've been doing it for about 15 years and I'm actually quite good at it. It's not difficult, anyone can learn. I find it's a good icebreaker at awkward social occasions.
- I can stand with my feet at about a 220-degree angle.
- I was 30 years old the first time I ever got drunk. And I've never had a beer, because I think the taste is disgusting. More for everyone else, I guess.
- My eyesight is terrible. My prescription is about -8 in both eyes, give or take .25. I have really great close-up vision, though. It's like having magnifying glasses for eyes.
- I haven't watched television since I moved into my apartment in 2004. I don't miss it. I watch a shitload of movies and series on DVD, though.
